Composite Decks
Trex and TimberTech decks built for the Cape.
Best Deal Home Group builds Trex and TimberTech composite decks on homes in all 15 towns of Cape Cod, and replaces worn wood decking with composite after checking the frame underneath.
Composite decking from Trex and TimberTech does not need the yearly sealing or staining a wood deck asks for, and it holds its color through salt air and summer sun better than bare lumber. It costs more up front than pressure-treated wood, so it makes the most sense on a deck you plan to keep for a long time.
We build new composite decks and replace worn wood decking, checking the framing first: composite boards need the joist spacing the manufacturer specifies, and an old frame often needs repairs or new joists before new boards go down. Railings, stairs and trim are matched to the decking.

FAQ
Composite Decks questions we hear on Cape Cod
Is composite decking worth it on Cape Cod?
It costs more up front than pressure-treated wood, but it does not need sealing or staining every year and it holds up to salt air and sun. On a deck you plan to keep for a long time, the lower upkeep usually makes up the difference.
Can new composite boards go on my old deck frame?
Sometimes. Composite boards need the joist spacing the manufacturer specifies, and the frame has to be sound. We check the joists, beams and footings first and repair or add framing where it is needed.
